Tailor-Made Home For Dressmaker

Gill Cottle’s new address in Radcliffe on Trent is tailor-made for creating wonderful clothes, with plenty of room for a purpose-built dressmaker’s studio.

After choosing her perfect plot at Prince’s Place, Gill says the buying process with award-winning developer William Davis Homes was seamless.

After moving into the spacious three-bedroom Dee, Gill set about creating lovely curtains for her new home. “My studio is a lovely space for working with different types of materials,” said Gill. “It’s light and bright and I can look out onto my lovely garden too.

“I’ve sewn all my life and I love working with my hands. When I was a teenager, I made all my own clothes. I like being creative and I’ve made many bespoke items, including a lovely ladies coat for a wedding and a gentleman’s suit.”

As well as creating new items, Gill also carries out alterations and has her own website to showcase her work. She also set-up a Facebook group for residents at Prince’s Place and has made many new friends, especially while walking her dog, Bertie.

Gill moved to Radcliffe on Trent from Watlington in Oxfordshire, to be close to one of her sons and his family. She visited several developments and chose William Davis Homes because of the company’s reputation for quality and the impressive lay-out of the homes at Prince’s Place.
