Success through Apprenticeships
Our highly successful apprenticeship programme has gained national recognition for delivering exceptional apprentices. Our traditional training programme gives the opportunity to ‘earn and learn’ whilst gaining a professional qualification and establishing a life-long career. Each year we work in close partnership with the CITB and local colleges to recruit both craft and technical apprentices who will train alongside our highly experienced and dedicated mentors.
The purpose of the role is to strive to achieve, development specific, company targets in terms of reservations and legal completions whilst maintaining the expected personal standards as well as those of customer satisfaction.
William Davis is currently recruiting for its 2019 apprenticeship intake. Our apprenticeship scheme offers real life experience in the construction industry through practical on-site training and college attendance. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals that are looking to develop their craft skills in a construction career across the following trades;
CARPENTRY & JOINERY
What is involved in a William Davis apprenticeship?
Working outdoors (8.00am till 4.30pm)
Developing practical craft skills using your hands
Working on a live construction site 5 days a week
Attending college (one week per month)
Mentored by experienced tradespeople
Supported by your College and Training Agency
Commitment to a 3 or 4 year training programme achieving an NVQ Level 2 or 3
What are the entry requirements?
Ideal applicants will possess, or be working towards at least four GCSE’s Level 4 /5 (equivalent to c or above) Successful applicants will be available to start August 2019.
What William Davis looks for in Apprentices:
Enthusiasm and an appetite to learn
A passion for their chosen industry including researching William Davis and job knowledge of their chosen trade
Any voluntary work experience within their chosen trade or job role. A candidate is more highly regarded if they have organised this independently
Be able to fit in with the team and Company, willing to work to the Company values
Have the right attitude and aptitude, have the desire to learn and fulfil their potential
Digital literacy – social media platforms
Have good references from school, work experience placements and pat time jobs
Have a good work ethic and willingness to learn
Be ambitious and demonstrate drive and determination
Show pride in themselves
