William Davis Homes is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its growing Loughborough head office team. The role would suit an enthusiastic individual from a house building background that is looking to develop their purchasing experience within a highly successful business.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and energetic team. Reporting to the Chief Buyer, the successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Procuring all construction materials to specification with a focus on commerciality and quality
  • Producing material enquiries and schedules for suppliers for the costing and production of tenders
  • Liaising with site managers to manage order and delivery enquires and attend site meetings
  • Effectively monitoring additional and replacement material orders
  • Continually appraising the performance of suppliers and building strong relationships with supply chain partners
  • Implementing new strategies for the commercial benefit of the business

We are seeking a target driven and self-motivated individual that is able to think laterally and put forward solutions. Strong organisation and negotiation skills are essential in this role as is the ability to work collaboratively with other departments in the business.

A minimum of 2 years previous experience working for a house builder in a similar role will be required plus strong IT skills with knowledge of Eque2 Housebuilding or COINS systems advantageous.
