When Sam Beaver moved into a brand new William Davis property he had no doubts about the quality of the workmanship – because being part of the site team he had been involved in the installation of the plumbing and heating himself.
Sam, who has been employed as a plumber for six years, took the plunge with girlfriend Lacey-Jane Matthews buying a three-bedroomed detached home on the company’s popular Rothley Meadow development.
The house, called a Dove, is the couple’s first home together and was a larger property than they had expected to be able to afford, thanks to the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.
Sam said: “We thought a William Davis Home would be out of our reach because the specification and quality is really superior.
“We looked around lots of developments, but nothing compared, and I already knew the Dove would be perfect for us because I’d worked on them.
“Help to Buy made all the difference for us and it means we’ve been able to move into a home which has plenty of space.
“Obviously I know the plumbing is excellent and I’ve every confidence in my colleagues – it would be spot on regardless of who had done it.”
Not only were Sam and Lacey impressed with the build quality of William Davis Homes, they loved Rothley’s location, close to the Rover Soar, near the village centre and adjacent a nature reserve.
While the setting is peaceful, it’s far from secluded and the couple say they have all the amenities they need within a couple of miles, as well as great travel links.
Sally Brookes, senior sales manager, said: “There’s no better endorsement of the quality of our homes than when a member of the build team buys one himself.
“Help to Buy is a brilliant scheme, allowing purchasers to buy a brand new home with just 5% deposit, yet still own 100% of the property.
“It helped Sam and Lacey’s deposit go that little bit further which means they’re living in the house of their dreams. We wish them every happiness in their new home.”
There are currently seven different house types on offer at Rothley Meadow to suit different budgets, lifestyles and tastes including the four-bedroomed Seaton, which has a wealth of living space on the ground floor and the uniquely designed three-bedroomed Douglas with its combined kitchen and dining room with adjacent lounge. Rothley’s Meadow’s Denwick and Lea show homes are available to view daily from 11am to 5pm and William Davis has a range of purchasing options available, including Help to Buy and Part Exchange.
