HELP TO BUY IS CHANGING … DON’T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE THE MOST OF THE SCHEME.
We have worked in partnership with www.mortgagebureau.net which provides financial advice to customers as and when they need it to give you advice on the Help to Buy scheme.
The latest recommendation from Neil Alkins, director at www.mortgagebureau.net is that those looking to buy a new build home with the government’s current Help to Buy scheme should look to act now.
Neil said: “The housing industry has certainly ramped up to meet the demand for new homes following the easing of national lockdown and we as a business, have been operating at double capacity compared with this time last year.
“This is definitely the result of the initial pent-up demand, together with the Stamp Duty Holiday and the government’s Help to Buy scheme, all contributing to the current exceptional buoyancy of the market.
“However, with the current Help to Buy scheme coming to an end on 31st March 2021 and the Stamp Duty Holiday also finishing on 31st March 2021, indications are we will be even busier. This means new home hunters wishing to take advantage of these superb schemes need to act sooner rather than later, ensuring they avoid a bottleneck of activity as these deadlines loom.
“March might seem a long way off now, but with building schedules, sale of existing properties, legal issues and paperwork – including the completion of the all-important PIF – Property Information Form, time will soon pass.
“It’s important we all continue to work together to help home buyers achieve their dream of a brand-new home – and government-backed schemes like this are a great way to help make that happen.”
Sally Brookes, our senior sales manager explains:
“Help to Buy is coming to an end with the current scheme only being available on those houses that will be build complete and that can legally complete by 31st March 2021.
“Realistically it takes 8-10 weeks to legally exchange and have everything in place for a sale to complete. That’s why we’re advising all customers hoping to use the scheme, to talk to us as soon as possible about how we can help.”
