Pride In The Job For William Davis Site Manager Martin Bottomley

Wednesday, 11th November 2009

Martin Bottomley, a site manager at Loughborough-based contractor and developer William Davis Ltd, has won a prestigious NHBC (National House Building Council) Pride in the Job Award for his work at the company's picturesque Morledge development in Matlock, Derbyshire.

At a recent ceremony, Martin received a 'Seal of Excellence' award, before being announced as the East Regional winner in the medium category (for builders with output between 51/ 1000 homes annually), meaning he now qualifies for entry into January's grand finale in London. NHBC recognises high standards of site management, with nominees being graded across 38 criteria including technical expertise, quality control and health & safety.

Richard Hartshorn, NHBC's Regional Director for the East, said: "Site managers are responsible for managing and delivering new homes for buyers. Although it's been a difficult year, Martin and our other winning site managers bring dedication and expertise to every aspect of the homes they build from foundations through to final handover. Each one has demonstrated the necessary attitude and ability to tackle difficult challenges wherever they arise, to ensure their customers buy homes of the highest quality."

Martin added: "I'm thrilled to have been recognised by NHBC but whilst it is my name on the award, the credit must also go to the team, who have worked diligently and enthusiastically to produce such high quality workmanship. We are all extremely proud of this achievement."

William Davis' Morledge development at Matlock is a range of two, three and four bedroom properties in a stunning location with spectacular view across Derbyshire's Peak District National Park.
