William Davis worked in partnership with British Waterways and Bournston Estates Ltd to redevelop the redundant Canal Wharf. The development included:

  • 179 student bedspaces
  • 700sq.m of A3/A4 space
  • 35 apartments
  • An enlarged canal basin
  • New boaters amenity
  • Quality public realm

Occupying an important northern gateway into the town centre the site presented many challenges including a protracted land assembly and planning process.

The new development includes the creation of landmark buildings to mark the termination of the canal arm and draw attention to the water amenity.

With a total development value of £13.75 million, this important regeneration project demonstrates the skills, experience and resource of William Davis and its partners in ensuring such project are smoothly delivered to the market.
